Things that I heard that I like

Updates

Hello, I will try to update this more often. I hope everyone is doing well. Tomorrow I start school after such a short break (jk Isaac). But seriously, my break was too long even with the 2 week winter session. I'm pretty excited to go back to school, we'll see how everything goes. I was thinking today that sometimes it is good to be blind. We can't always invest our vision on what we see. There's so much going on that taking in the world from just our perspective brings sort of a disillusionment. It is something I definitely need to work on.

TTIHTIL

Anyhow, I wanted to do this the beginning of my break but I've been kind of holding off because I wanted to add new songs. I didn't really add too many but here is a mixtape I made for you guys to listen to called "Things That I Heard That I Like". I didn't really look at the order so you might want to switch it to your liking. I wish there were more good english songs i knew of. It's a few songs that have I listened to at different times. I've pretty much worn these songs out but they are still good. Among them there are a few korean songs, a few instrumentals, some jazz, a little popular music, a christian song... just mostly things that I like haha.

Some random notes about the mixtape:
"Codependence" was done in a live show which they kind of turned into their radio show that airs weekly. Actually, me and Isaac heard this live when they played it at Catalina and we were amazed (atleast I was).
"Love is" is part of an instrumental album that was done by Tablo (epik high) and Penny.
Susannah McCorkle, who appears a couple times, was actually super multilingual and she would translate the lyrics of Brazilian, French, and Italian songs to English.

Foolish Things

I really enjoy songwriting for jazz songs so, to conclude, take about a couple minutes to slow down and take in the lyrics to "These Foolish Things" sung by Peggy Lee (also on mixtape).

First daffodils and long excited cables
And candle lights on little corner tables
And still my heart has wings
These foolish things remind me of you

The sigh of midnight trains in empty stations
Silk stockings thrown aside, dance invitations
Oh how the ghost of you clings
These foolish things remind me of you

How strange
How sweet
To find you still
These things are dear to me, They seem to bring you so near to me

The scent of smould'ring leaves the wail of steamers
Two lovers on the street who walk like dreamers
Oh how the ghost of you clings
These foolish things remind me of you

Fashion Forecasting

A Guide to Hipness and Sophistication

If you happened to stumble upon this blog you are in luck. I'm about to give you a glimpse into the future of fashion. Here is your exclusive what to wear guide for the near future. The pics are of the back and fronts.

Ponchos

Yes, ponchos coming back in style. Wear it out on the street, if you want to take a siesta, you have a blanket already on you.

One-legged Pants

Two holes at the bottom of your pants is so last season. These triangular pants will bring a freshness to your closet. Another thing that's in this coming season: jumping. Walking is so last season.

Masks

Burglar or Superhero? Leave the world guessing with a full headed mask.

Fatsuit (sorry didn't draw this one)

Who doesn't want to dress up like a sumo or an American? Skinniness and good health= out. Fatsuits= in.

So these are pretty much your essentials for next season. It might be too high fashion for some people but TRUST me, these are going to be the business in the near future.
