Summer things...

Notes

Since I've been back home I've been doing a lot of the things I wanted to do.  The ukulele has been fun to play with and I'm trying to get myself to read more (in esp,kor,eng).  I was looking at my ITunes playlist yesterday and after carrying around and listening to Angela's music the whole time I was out of the country, I almost forgot how good my playlist was.  The only thing I would change is some more good Christian music and more vocal jazz (which is why we have Cliff!).

I was trying to look for a poem I read a long time ago and i found it!  And now that I read it again it is still beautiful so I'll share it with you guys.

He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with the golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams beneath your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams...

W.B. Yeats

I think it expresses that what we have that is intangible is actually a greater gift than the tangible things we wish for.  It kind of reminds me of the story of Mary pouring the alabaster jar at Jesus' feet because I'm sure she wished she could have given Jesus the world.  But really the most precious gift is actually something you already have inside of you.

And I'll leave you guys with a picture of me and some teachers and counselors doing Souljah boi dance in Korea.
crank dat souljah boi.
